David Miele
Piano Teacher & Owner

Hi! I’m David. I’ve been playing piano for twenty-five years, and teaching for over eight years.

I hold a Bachelor of Music in classical piano from McGill University. While studying music at Vanier College, I was a piano accompanist for classical singers. In the past few years, I’ve reignited my passion for classical music, and have had a lot of fun expanding my repertoire. My favourite composers are Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Beethoven.

Here’s a video of me performing Rachmaninoff’s Elegie:

I also have an extensive background in pop music. I grew up listening to singer-songwriter-pianists such as Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, and Sarah McLachlan. At one point, I realized that all Western music is built on chord progressions, and taught myself to improvise. Writing music has been a passion of mine since childhood, and music production is a more recent pursuit I’ve been enjoying.

As a piano teacher, I’ve helped students pass Royal Conservatory exams (with honours), notate their first musical composition, and play their favourite songs and pieces at the piano. I hope I can do the same for you. Click the link below to get started.
